About The Game
CORPUS EDAX is an immersive first-person melee RPG set in a distant retro-futuristic city on the edge of revolution 🌆. The planet itself hides mysterious secrets 🛸. You’ll fight using your body, improvised weapons, and your wits ⚔️.
With the A.G.N.I.S. system (Allure, Grit, Nerd, Intuition, Strength), you can place objects to reach hidden areas or climb over fences. Stuck at a locked door? Hack it 💻, lockpick it 🗝️, destroy it 💥, or even seduce or convince a guard to let you through 🗣️.
The dialogue system is tied to your character’s stats, offering unique dialogue choices based on how you play. Dive into branching conversations or skip them entirely—your call! 💬 Characters react physically, so if you throw a pipe at someone, they’ll react realistically. You can even pick up and use everyday items like chairs for some extra action 🪑.
Your personal reputation is shaped by three traits—Insightful, Impetuous, and Altruistic 🤔. These traits influence dialogue choices and how characters respond to you, making each playthrough unique.
How you play is up to you: go stealthy like a ninja, putting your Skill Points into Stealth and Athletics 🏃♂️, or become a powerhouse by focusing on Grit and Combat 💪. If combat isn’t your thing, you can lean on Allure and Intuition to finesse your way past obstacles 😏.
Nearly a century ago, humanity fled Earth after it became uninhabitable 🌍. We found a new home on a planet that unexpectedly collided with Earth’s ships. A new city was built here and named CORPUS EDAX. Over time, the newly established World Government struggled to maintain unity, outlawing any form of cultural identity 🏙️. Citizens are ranked from A to D based on their value to the government.
After waking from a medically-induced coma 🛏️, you find yourself in this newly built city, where you’ll either join The Salvation in their fight for justice or carve your own path to power 🗡️. The future of CORPUS EDAX is in your hands!
